“The longevity revolution is headed our way and we are not prepared for the future reality,” said Comer. “So many people believe that their current and long-term futures are secure, but one major health episode can literally change everything in a heartbeat. I hope my story can be a wake-up call to my generation to take action around financial security, as opposed to running through their savings with out-of-pocket medical expenses and burdening their children in a way unacceptable for most of us.”

 Chief executive officer, Steve Forbes was asked "How can people get back on track?"  He responded "With a smile.  Simply ask for help from Northwestern Mutual..." 

This dialogue was part of a six-city tour that included a Q & A session with Mr. Forbes, and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Northwestern Mutual, Mr. Edward Zore.  The tour, "Rebuilding, Reviving and Learning from the Great Recession" launched on March 1, 2010 at the Seawell Grand Ballroom in Denver, Colorado with over 600 guests in attendance.
